Frequently Asked Questions

Will this job count towards my Canadian permanent residency?

Yes. Truck driving jobs usually fall under TEER 3, which can be eligible for Canadian permanent residency pathways such as the Canadian Experience Class or Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). This means your Canadian work experience as a truck driver can help you transition to PR.

What kind of companies are hiring for these roles?

Logistics companies, transport fleets, delivery services, and long-haul trucking firms across Canada are actively hiring truck drivers.

Can I bring my family with me?

No, you cannot bring your family members based on new immigration restrictions. But this may change in the future. Your family can join you later once rules are updated or if you transition into a pathway that allows family sponsorship.

Is this job only for Canadian-licensed drivers?

No. If you already have a truck driving license in your home country, you may be eligible. However, you will  need to pass a Canadian licensing process (road test, knowledge test, medical exam) after arrival.

How long is the work permit valid for?

The Francophone Mobility Work Permit is usually valid for 1–3 years, depending on your job offer. It can often be renewed if your employer extends your contract.

Can I change employers after coming to Canada?

Yes, but you will need to apply for a new work permit tied to your new employer. Some PR pathways may also open up depending on your new role and location.

Will you help me with the work permit process?

Absolutely. Our team assists with job matching, paperwork, the French test, and your entire work permit application. We’ll guide you through every step.

How long does the process take?

The process — from job offer to receiving your work permit — can take up to 1 year. This may vary depending on your profile, employer response time, and visa processing times.
